DMR-D878^ Programming Software only for the
Anytone AT-D878UV and AT-D878UV II Plus radios*

I purchased this CPS because RT systems programmers can directly import external data. This makes it SO easy to keep repeater lists up to date. You can even import DMR repeaters (without customized channels for TG's), and using Digital Monitor you can scan them right along with your FM repeaters. I have experienced a few minor problems... 1. You can't bring up a dialog box for channel editing. To edit a digital channel, you have to scroll along horizontally to set the many parameters. It's much easier to see the entire thing in a pop-up window. 2. Importing data from a file is limited - I can't find an option to import the digital contacts list, for example. The factory CPS allows you to import dozens of file types to set particular things. 3. The built-in feature to write the digital contacts list to the radio (which seems to grab info online, without you needing to download/import anything) doesn't work properly. On my radio what I ended up with was the radio ID number and the user's first name. There was no callsign or location. I needed to use the factory CPS to import an external database file for the contacts to display correctly on my radio. For reference I'm using the 878 UVII Plus. This seems to be a new offering from RT systems so let's hope it gets an update soon. ======================================================================================== You're right and we're working on these a lot to get things working so it gets really easy again. 1) Try the Digital and Analog options under Edit to hide columns for less scrolling. Also remember with the spread sheet layout, you have the ability to do column editing for lots of changes with little effort. 2) There is import. On the contacts screen, select File | Import and complete the process. A video of this is available in the Knowledge base under the DMR topic in the top group. 3) We will look more closely at this one.
