UV-5G Radio Programming Software

The BAO-5G/Pro/Plus software helps you program memory channel and menu setting details of the Baofeng UV-5G/ 5G Pro and 5G Plus GMRS radios.  This radio was at one time labeled UV-5X GMRS.  

Two Programmers are included in the installation, the UV-5G / Pro and the UV-5G Plus.  Be sure to install the right one for your radio model. 

Preprogrammed with about 30 GMRS repeater and simplex frequencies, this programmer comes ready to go for your operating needs. Customize names and tones for these channels without changing frequencies. Nine NOAA frequencies complete the basic setup for this radio and are included in the programmer. Beyond the memory channels are radio menu settings that let you customize your radio's features so it works just as you want. Set voice, display, beeps and others to suit your needs.

Add listen only frequencies in the ham band and beyond using Repeater Book, RFinder or Radio Reference searches built right into the programmer. The programmer will let you know clearly that these are listen only channels with a No Transmit operating mode.

A list of the GMRS frequencies is included in case you want to add one again to set up different tones to match that of another group of friends.
