UV-5G Radio Programming Software

The BAO-5G/Pro/Plus software helps you program memory channel and menu setting details of the Baofeng
UV-5G/Pro, UV-5G Plus, UV-5X GMRS, and UV-5R GMRS radios. This radio was previously labeled UV-5X GMRS.

The installation includes Two Programmers, the UV-5G / Pro, and the UV-5G Plus. Use the BAO-5G program for the UV-5G, UV-5G Pro and UV-5R GMRS. Use the BAO-5GPlus program for the UV-5G Plus radio.

Preprogrammed with about 30 GMRS repeaters and simplex frequencies; this programmer comes ready for your operating needs. Customize names and tones for these channels without changing frequencies. Nine NOAA frequencies complete the basic setup for this radio and are included in the programmer. Beyond the memory channels are radio menu settings that let you customize your radio's features, so it works just as you want. Set voice, display, beeps, and others to suit your needs.

Add listen-only frequencies in the ham band and beyond using Repeater Book or Radio Reference searches built right into the programmer. The programmer will let you know that these are listen-only channels with a No Transmit operating mode. A list of the GMRS frequencies is included in case you want to add one again to set up different tones to match that of another group of friends.
