RT Systems TCS-M8900 Programming software from RT Systems makes it easy to manage memory channel information and other menu settings of the Talkcoop Mini-8900 radio.
Memory channel details and other set menu options are set from an easy to use computer interface with lots of fields automatically filled with appropriate values or with defaults that you can change with just a few mouse clicks. Lists are presented for you to select a value when that value is critical for the radio's performance. Links to on-line repeater information get you details for an area that can be in your radio in moments.

An easy interface to RFinder-Worldwide Repeater Directory, Radio Reference, or Repeater Book to get repeater information for your location, a travel route, or a vacation spot. Repeater details available for locations in and outside the US. (separate purchase or subscription may be required)
Other built-in frequency lists for easy memory channel entries (check File|External data in the programmer before you spend time on internet searches for frequencies. You may find just what you need!)
Ability to copy and paste spreadsheet or website data.
Much more than just memory channel programming with settings for other radio menu items.
Software works with Windows 8/8.1 (full versions), Windows 10 (32 and 64 bit) and Windows 11.
The TCS-M8900 programmer now works with "generic" USB cables. USB cables have become a little more consistent and reliable. Consider this as you decide which cable will be best for you.

Cable
Cables with proper pin spacing for the radio have been around for a long time with varying designs for USB circuitry. Some work well. Some work with varying degrees of success. Some don't work at all. Both circuitry design and wiring could be the issue. If you have a cable that works, it should work with the TCS-M8900 programmer.
A generic cable may cease to work on Windows 11.
When using a generic USB cable for programming, you are responsible for finding and installing drivers.
You are responsible for identifying the com port in use by the cable, assigning that in the program and changing it should you use a different cable the next time that assigns to a different com port designation.
RT Systems cannot help you with cable setup... there are just too many cables out there for us to begin to know what you have.
USB-70 or USB-72
The USB-72 cable is offered only as a legacy piece for those who may have it from an earlier RT Systems programming system. If you have that cable, it will work for this radio.
Performance of the programming system is guaranteed only with the RT Systems USB-70 or USB-72 cable.
The RT Systems programming cables work on Windows 11.
Drivers are installed during installation of the programmer. Sometime help is needed to complete driver installation: we are here to help with that.
You do not need to know or assign a com port in the program. The programmer finds the cable automatically.
If there is a problem with communications between the radio and the computer, we are here to help....and we know LOTS of tricks!!
RT Systems programmers work with the radio specified from the manufacturer shown in the description.
RT Systems programmers are designed to work with manufacturer's firmware or approved firmware upgrades. There is no guarantee, and a great deal of doubt, that the programmer will work with a radio that has been upgraded with a firmware version that is not from the manufacturer. RT Systems takes no responsibility for changes made to such a modified radio during programming.
No implication is made that a programmer is appropriate for a radio with a similar number from a different manufacturer. Actually, purchasing a programmer for a radio from a different manufacturer just because it has a similar number is strongly discouraged.
RT Systems takes no responsibility for the performance of your radio should you choose to use a programmer other than that listed specifically for the manufacturer and model of that radio you are attempting to program. Exceptions are noted in the description for several products. Check there if you feel your radio is a variant of the one shown, but be advised that the manufacturer will never vary. If the model is not listed, you should check with RT Systems prior to your purchase.
Installed software is NOT returnable, exchangeable or refundable.
