FT-847 software and cable
I have software and cables for both the FT-847 and FTDX3000 and they both work as advertised. It's nice to be able to program the radios with most (the FTDX3000 doesn't have 2m &440) of the same information with out entering it by hand into the radios, a real time saver. All the information can be transferred between the software packages without manually reentering it. The FT-847 software uses the cloning mode of the radio to transfer data so it's not quite as straight forward to work with as the FTDX3000 software for data transfer however the FT-847 was never designed for the user to directly enter memory data via computer and this is a good way of getting around the problem. I'm quite happy with the software packages. The cables are a bit pricey (not to bad) for what they are but eliminate any of the interfacing guesswork and appear to be well made. They're only about 6' long so if your radio is further away from the computer than that you'll need a USB extension cable.

RT Systems programmers work with the radio specified from the manufacturer shown in the description.
RT Systems programmers are designed to work with manufacturer's firmware or approved firmware upgrades. There is no guarantee, and a great deal of doubt, that the programmer will work with a radio that has been upgraded with a firmware version that is not from the manufacturer. RT Systems takes no responsibility for changes made to such a modified radio during programming.
No implication is made that a programmer is appropriate for a radio with a similar number from a different manufacturer. Actually, purchasing a programmer for a radio from a different manufacturer just because it has a similar number is strongly discouraged.
RT Systems takes no responsibility for the performance of your radio should you choose to use a programmer other than that listed specifically for the manufacturer and model of that radio you are attempting to program. Exceptions are noted in the description for several products. Check there if you feel your radio is a variant of the one shown, but be advised that the manufacturer will never vary. If the model is not listed, you should check with RT Systems prior to your purchase.
