Loss of audio on Band B
Last Updated: 02/03/2020
On the FTM-100 or FTM-400 loss of audio (and seemingly functionality) on Band B is a result of APRS being turned on.

If APRS was engaged at any time when you did Communications | Get data from radio, you have captured that setting in the programmer. Now when you program the radio, APRS is turned back on unexpectedly and operations on Band B (default) are lost.

In the programmer, go to Settings | APRS and uncheck the box next to APRS Modem On. Then save the settings file to make this permanent.

Now, you can turn APRS on from the face of the radio when you're ready for it rather than unexpectedly every time you program the radio.
