ID 5100 Firmware E3 upgrade
Last Updated: 11/01/2018
On May 22, 2015, Icom issued a firmware upgrade for the ID-5100 radio. RT Systems was made aware of this upgrade on May 22. On that day we began changing the WCS-D5100 programmer to address the changes in a way that will allow you to continue to use your existing files to reprogram the radio after completing the upgrade. That update to the WCS-D5100 programmer is now available. Click Here then run the updater from the link.

The update to the programmer addresses the changes to the Repeater List, the Your Call Sign list, the GPS memory increase and the changes to the Tone Mode options. Other menu item options have not yet been incorporated. We plan to have the rest of the options completed next week.

Even with the update to the programmer, you will still be able to address a radio that has not had the firmware upgrade done.

Once you have completed the firmware upgrade to the radio AND the update to the WCS-D5100 programmer, complete Communications | Get data from Radio into a NEW file to let the programmer know it is working with an upgraded radio. If your radio has not been upgraded, you do not need to complete this step after updating the programmer.
