Cannot hit repeater

Last Updated: 08/08/2013
Programming radios today with frequencies, offsets, and tones for repeater operations introduces lots of variables for performance.

There is one other to keep in mind... especially if things "used to work".

Squelch (and RF Squelch in many models).  With this set too high you will not hear some incoming signals.

Check this setting on the face of the radio or in the Settings of the Programmer.  You may have adjusted the Squelch in a noisy setting and now that you are at home, need to adjust it back to what is "normal" for your repeaters.  If you make an adjustment on the radio, be sure to make the same adjustment in the program (Settings | Radio Menu Settings) so you don't have to change it repeatedly after using the programmer.
