Never a problem with RT Systems software

I use RT Systems for all my radios and never had anissue. Makes programing much easier that factory original software!

4100

Very good products you have available! I have several radios with the RT software for programming. Saved me so much headache and time! Ordering the 4100 this time was a bit of a hassle as the order form was not cooperating. After several attempts to re-order I finally got it. I am cutting and pasting the information from other D Star Radios I have to the new 4100. Everything seems to work except the DVAP info. Works on the 7100, 5100, and the 51A. Not sure what is happening with the 4100. All in all, I would buy RT Systems again and recommend this produce to others.

Software for ID-4100 and ID-5100

The software works great. Very easy to program and backup the radio settings. Only issue I have is that my order did not link to my login profile so am not able to reference in the future. Contacted customer support but they did not resolve the issue.

WCS-D4100 Software for ID-4100

Best programming software for D-Star or any supported radio. Easy to install and use just the best there is. And if you have a problem the support is awesome. Again just the best.

USB-RTS05 vs USB-29A Programming Cable Comparison

On some Icom radios the USB-29A and the USB-RTS05 cables are offered for programming. This comparison will help you decide between the two cables.

USB-29A	The USB-29A cable (blue) programs the radio. It connects to the radio through the 3.5mm speaker jack. If there are two speaker jacks, it is usually SP2. Check your manual. It will specify which speaker port is used for cloning or programming. That's the one to use. The USB-29A cable is generally more dependable for programming since the radio does not put other data out through the speaker jack. However, you cannot have a speaker attached to the other speaker jack while programming. The USB-29A cable can be used to program many of the Icom handhelds and mobiles as well as radios from other manufacturers. It is one of the more "universal" programming cables in the RT Systems line.

USB-RTS05	The USB-RTS05 cable programs the radio through the 2.5mm data port. The USB-RTS05 cable works both for programming the radio with the RT Systems software AND as a cable for digital data using other programs such as D-Rats. It works with many other Icom D-Star radios (handhelds and mobiles) for programming and data. Note: Be aware that you must turn off GPS from the controls on the front of the radio when using this cable for programming. Erratic movement of the mouse will occur if GPS is on.

RT Systems programmers work with the radio specified from the manufacturer shown in the description.

RT Systems programmers are designed to work with manufacturer's firmware or approved firmware upgrades. There is no guarantee, and a great deal of doubt, that the programmer will work with a radio that has been upgraded with a firmware version that is not from the manufacturer. RT Systems takes no responsibility for changes made to such a modified radio during programming.

No implication is made that a programmer is appropriate for a radio with a similar number from a different manufacturer. Actually, purchasing a programmer for a radio from a different manufacturer just because it has a similar number is strongly discouraged.

RT Systems takes no responsibility for the performance of your radio should you choose to use a programmer other than that listed specifically for the manufacturer and model of that radio you are attempting to program. Exceptions are noted in the description for several products. Check there if you feel your radio is a variant of the one shown, but be advised that the manufacturer will never vary. If the model is not listed, you should check with RT Systems prior to your purchase.

Qualifying versions are Windows 5.0 or higher and Mac 6.0 and higher. Earlier versions of the RT Systems programmers do not qualify you for a discounted cross platform purchase.
