This is a simple 6 foot cable to attach the DB-9 CAT port of certain radios to a DB-9 serial port on your computer (yes, some computers still have those and they are needed by some applications). This is a straight through cable with no electronics.

If you don't have a DB-9 serial port on your computer, check out the USB-63 cable that can be used to connect from the DB-9 CAT port of certain radios to a USB port on your computer. The electronics of this cable will form a com port that can be used by most applications. Check your radio by model number to see if it can use the USB-63.
