Icom Cloning System December 28, 2017
Reviewer: Alex Vrenios from Phoenix, AZ United States
I ordered the cloning cable and software for my I(aging) com IC-T7H. Win7, running under Parallels 11 for Mac, the CD wasn't recognized. Not to worry because there was an alternative download provision which worked fine. The Programmer, as it is called, came up, I typed in all the frequencies I needed and loaded it onto the radio. Unplugging everything, it all worked just fine.

So well that I ordered the CD for my Icom IC-U82. (The same cable works.) This time the CD was recognized and everything went smoothly. I opened the T7H file, selected and copied all the UHF frequencies, pasted them into the U82 spreadsheet and loaded it into the radio. Again, all was well.

These little radios, with their tiny little screens and their tiny little buttons were fine when I was 30 years younger, but today I'm glad there is an alternative. A very easy to use alternative.
