RT Systems BTS-GMRSV1 Programming software makes it easy to manage memory channel information and other menu settings of the Btech GMRS-V1 HT.
Note: The frequencies for the GMRS channels on this radio cannot be changed. You only can change Operating Mode, Name and Tones for what is preprogrammed in the radio. There is no adding to or taking away from the GMRS list.
Frequencies for the Receive only channels can be changed along with their operating mode, name, and tone details. But remember, these are RECEIVE ONLY channels.
The programmer reflects the characteristics of the radio.
Spreadsheet layout with many point and click options.
"Read" the current configuration from the radio for editing or start from scratch in a new file.
The programmer has copy and paste of memory channel information between files.
Column editing for changing several channels with minimal typing.
An easy interface to RFinder-Worldwide Repeater Directory, Radio Reference, or Repeater Book to get repeater information for your location, a travel route, or a vacation spot. Repeater details available for locations in and outside the US. (separate purchase or subscription may be required)
Other built-in frequency lists for easy memory channel entries (check File|External data in the programmer before you spend time on internet searches for frequencies. You may find just what you need!)
Ability to copy and paste spreadsheet or website data.

gmrs-v1 acquisition
Downloaded software, put in the things I wanted and sent it to the radio. Very smooth -no problems.

Excellent software - as always
The GMRSV1 software works as easily as the rest of the RT products. Uses the same cable as the Baofeng HAM radios.

Why did I ever try Chirp?
I bought a number of these radios before September 2017. I used Chirp to program them. I bought a few more after September and when I tried to program them with the Chirp software, they wouldn't work. I went a few rounds with Btech about bad radios so they replaced one. I tried to program the replacement and had the same problems. Come to find out after I purchased your software I was able to load the programs for both radios and found there was a difference in the basic program between the two. Your program for this model radio worked flawlessly and I would never have known unless I used RT Systems software. Thank you for providing such an excellent selection of software and cables. Nothing but your software will do for me now!

RT Systems programmers work with the radio specified from the manufacturer shown in the description.
RT Systems programmers are designed to work with manufacturer's firmware or approved firmware upgrades. There is no guarantee, and a great deal of doubt, that the programmer will work with a radio that has been upgraded with a firmware version that is not from the manufacturer. RT Systems takes no responsibility for changes made to such a modified radio during programming.
No implication is made that a programmer is appropriate for a radio with a similar number from a different manufacturer. Actually, purchasing a programmer for a radio from a different manufacturer just because it has a similar number is strongly discouraged.
RT Systems takes no responsibility for the performance of your radio should you choose to use a programmer other than that listed specifically for the manufacturer and model of that radio you are attempting to program. Exceptions are noted in the description for several products. Check there if you feel your radio is a variant of the one shown, but be advised that the manufacturer will never vary. If the model is not listed, you should check with RT Systems prior to your purchase.
