RT Systems Programming Software for the
- Windows version requires Windows 8/8.1 (full version), Windows 10 for 32 and 64 bit platforms or Windows 11.
- Mac version requires Mac OS X 10.13.6 (64-bit) or newer.

The Windows version of the RT Systems programmer for this radio now works with "generic" USB cables. Realize, however, that RT Systems programs the radio through the speaker/mic jack using external electronics that form the com port. USB cables have become a little more consistent and reliable and there may be one available that works as well as the USB-57A. Consider this as you decide which cable will be best for you.
Generic USB Cables	The cable may not work on Windows 11. You are responsible for finding the drivers for that cable and assigning the correct com port. Be sure the cable is wired properly and has the proper electronics and connection for the radio.

USB-57A	The RT Systems USB-57A cable works with Windows 11 It is wired properly both at the computer and radio ends to address this radio. Drivers are installed during installation of the programmer. Sometime help is needed to complete driver installation: we are here to help with that. You do not need to know or assign a com port in the program. The programmer finds the cable automatically. If there is a problem with communications between the radio and the computer, we are here to help....and we know LOTS of tricks!!
