This is a good product. RT systems is a very good place to buy from . The staff are very good and can answer you questions. I have perches lot of programs from RT systems and are always very happy

Easy win
Converted from Yaesu software after lots of frustration. Was able to import 200 channels from our local emergency communications plan in minutes. Easy!

The Windows version of the RT Systems programmer for this radio now works with "generic" USB cables. Realize, however, that RT Systems programs the radio through the speaker/mic jack using external electronics that form the com port. USB cables have become a little more consistent and reliable and there may be one available that works as well as the USB-57B. Consider this as you decide which cable will be best for you.

The cable may not work on Windows 11.
You are responsible for finding the drivers for that cable and assigning the correct com port.
Be sure the cable is wired properly and has the proper electronics and connection for the radio. This cable must address the speaker mic jack of this radio which as a 3-conductor plug and must get past the screw threads at the top.
USB-57B
The RT Systems USB-57B cable works with Windows 11
It is wired properly both at the computer and radio ends to address this radio.
Drivers are installed during installation of the programmer. Sometime help is needed to complete driver installation: we are here to help with that.
You do not need to know or assign a com port in the program. The programmer finds the cable automatically.
If there is a problem with communications between the radio and the computer, we are here to help....and we know LOTS of tricks!!
With all the considerations about cables, also consider how differently that radio programs with the RT Systems programmer compared to the Yaesu ADMS-10 programmer. Here is a video to help you decide which will work better for you.

RT Systems programmers work with the radio specified from the manufacturer shown in the description.
RT Systems programmers are designed to work with manufacturer's firmware or approved firmware upgrades. There is no guarantee, and a great deal of doubt, that the programmer will work with a radio that has been upgraded with a firmware version that is not from the manufacturer. RT Systems takes no responsibility for changes made to such a modified radio during programming.
No implication is made that a programmer is appropriate for a radio with a similar number from a different manufacturer. Actually, purchasing a programmer for a radio from a different manufacturer just because it has a similar number is strongly discouraged.
RT Systems takes no responsibility for the performance of your radio should you choose to use a programmer other than that listed specifically for the manufacturer and model of that radio you are attempting to program. Exceptions are noted in the description for several products. Check there if you feel your radio is a variant of the one shown, but be advised that the manufacturer will never vary. If the model is not listed, you should check with RT Systems prior to your purchase.
Installed software is NOT returnable, exchangeable or refundable.
Your purchase is for the RT Systems programmer on ONE operating system: Windows OR Mac.
You make that selection during the purchase from our site or at download if your purchase was through a dealer.
You can have BOTH the Windows and Mac versions at a discount for the second (for programmers that have both a Windows and Mac version available).
Qualifying versions are Windows 5.0 or higher and Mac 6.0 and higher. Earlier versions of the RT Systems programmers do not qualify you for a discounted cross platform purchase.
