Yarsu FT-817ND software and Cable kit
I acquired the ADMS-4 kit from RT Systems for my Yaesu FT-817ND. The tiny screen on the rig makes programming a big task but RT Systems software made this easy to overcome. Installation/programming was straight forward with fields labeled for your info. The problem is deciding what you want stored. I like rig control and the programming cable included in the ADMS-4 kit works with the CAT features and your logging program/computer. No need to purchase a separate cable. Downloading from your rig/uploading your favorite file is really quick. I purchased software for several rigs and RT systems makes it nice to program equipment. Many files can be shared to get going on a different new rig, too. There are some pretty good freeware programs out there, too but I don’t believe they compare. I’ll be looking for RT Systems for my next rig, too!

817 Programming Software
I have purchased your software for every radio I have that you make the software for. I am pleased with all of it and when I have lost a code, boom your staff can find it and send me the info I need. You have done a great job!. Wish you had software for the CS 800D :)

Installed into Lap Top and program an FT-817ND with in an hour. Thank you for making programing a radio so easy.

I have purchased at least SIX rtsystems products in the last few years and every one has been great! Each type of software works well and if there's a problem, their customer service is excellent. The best part is that I can copy and paste a spreadsheet from one program to another.

The Windows version of the RT Systems programmer for this radio now works with "generic" USB cables. USB cables have become a little more consistent and reliable. Consider this as you decide which cable will be best for you.
Generic USB
Cables
The cable may not work on Windows 11.
You are responsible for finding the drivers for that cable and assigning the correct com port.
Be sure the cable is wired properly and has the proper electronics and connection for the radio.
USB-62
The RT Systems USB-62 cable works with Windows 11
Drivers are installed during installation of the programmer. Sometime help is needed to complete driver installation: we are here to help with that.
You do not need to know or assign a com port in the program. The programmer finds the cable automatically.
If there is a problem with communications between the radio and the computer, we are here to help....and we know LOTS of tricks!!
RT Systems programmers work with the radio specified from the manufacturer shown in the description.
RT Systems programmers are designed to work with manufacturer's firmware or approved firmware upgrades. There is no guarantee, and a great deal of doubt, that the programmer will work with a radio that has been upgraded with a firmware version that is not from the manufacturer. RT Systems takes no responsibility for changes made to such a modified radio during programming.
No implication is made that a programmer is appropriate for a radio with a similar number from a different manufacturer. Actually, purchasing a programmer for a radio from a different manufacturer just because it has a similar number is strongly discouraged.
RT Systems takes no responsibility for the performance of your radio should you choose to use a programmer other than that listed specifically for the manufacturer and model of that radio you are attempting to program. Exceptions are noted in the description for several products. Check there if you feel your radio is a variant of the one shown, but be advised that the manufacturer will never vary. If the model is not listed, you should check with RT Systems prior to your purchase.
Installed software is NOT returnable, exchangeable or refundable.
Your purchase is for the RT Systems programmer on ONE operating system: Windows OR Mac.
You make that selection during the purchase from our site or at download if your purchase was through a dealer.
You can have BOTH the Windows and Mac versions at a discount for the second (for programmers that have both a Windows and Mac version available).
Qualifying versions are Windows 5.0 or higher and Mac 6.0 and higher. Earlier versions of the RT Systems programmers do not qualify you for a discounted cross platform purchase.
For a dealer purchase, provide proof of purchase to

with the receipt for that purchase, the original serial number and the email address you used for download and installation. The cross platform version will be $15.00
To add the other operating system for an RT Systems order, let us know that you want the Programmer for that operating system and the email address you used for your account. The cross platform version will be $15.00
