Problems
Attempted to run software to clone and read the current programmed frequencies previously installed on FT-60 and got error message: Exception: Purejavacomm.Nosuchportexception Attempted to use RT System Support and it appears it doesn't work on Mac. Have since upgraded MacBook to OS MoJave and have same issue.

Tech Support for MAC Version
In March 2018, RT Systems came out with a MAC program for the FT60R. They are still working on it and it isn’t as flushed out or detailed as the Windows version. I had a problem syncing the phone and MACBOOK Pro with the cable the first time I tried it. I called Tech Support late Friday afternoon and talked to a MAC technician who had the same problem when he tried it with the FT60R. He said he would have to write an update and get back to me the next day which was Saturday. Sure enough, he called me Saturday morning saying it was fixed. Since then, I had to call Tech Support again and the technician was very pleasant, knowledgeable and most helpful. I am new to the HAM world and glad to know RT Systems is there to help!

The Windows version of the RT Systems programmer for this radio now works with "generic" USB cables. USB cables have become a little more consistent and reliable. Consider this as you decide which cable will be best for you.
Generic USB
Cables
The cable may not work on Windows 11.
You are responsible for finding the drivers for that cable and assigning the correct com port.
Be sure the cable is wired properly and has the proper electronics and connection for the radio.
USB-57A
The RT Systems USB-57A cable works with Windows 11
Drivers are installed during installation of the programmer. Sometime help is needed to complete driver installation: we are here to help with that.
You do not need to know or assign a com port in the program. The programmer finds the cable automatically.
If there is a problem with communications between the radio and the computer, we are here to help....and we know LOTS of tricks!!
RT Systems programmers work with the radio specified from the manufacturer shown in the description.
RT Systems programmers are designed to work with manufacturer's firmware or approved firmware upgrades. There is no guarantee, and a great deal of doubt, that the programmer will work with a radio that has been upgraded with a firmware version that is not from the manufacturer. RT Systems takes no responsibility for changes made to such a modified radio during programming.
No implication is made that a programmer is appropriate for a radio with a similar number from a different manufacturer. Actually, purchasing a programmer for a radio from a different manufacturer just because it has a similar number is strongly discouraged.
RT Systems takes no responsibility for the performance of your radio should you choose to use a programmer other than that listed specifically for the manufacturer and model of that radio you are attempting to program. Exceptions are noted in the description for several products. Check there if you feel your radio is a variant of the one shown, but be advised that the manufacturer will never vary. If the model is not listed, you should check with RT Systems prior to your purchase.
Installed software is NOT returnable, exchangeable or refundable.
Your purchase is for the RT Systems programmer on ONE operating system: Windows OR Mac.
You make that selection during the purchase from our site or at download if your purchase was through a dealer.
You can have BOTH the Windows and Mac versions at a discount for the second (for programmers that have both a Windows and Mac version available).
Qualifying versions are Windows 5.0 or higher and Mac 6.0 and higher. Earlier versions of the RT Systems programmers do not qualify you for a discounted cross platform purchase.
For a dealer purchase, provide proof of purchase to

with the receipt for that purchase, the original serial number and the email address you used for download and installation. The cross platform version will be $15.00
To add the other operating system for an RT Systems order, let us know that you want the Programmer for that operating system and the email address you used for your account. The cross platform version will be $15.00
