A tone is heard by the receiving station at the beginning of each of my transmissions.

Last Updated: 04/02/2014
The Internet Connection feature of the radio is turned on. To turn it off press and release the left Vol knob.

This will be the lower button on the left which is often mistaken as the one used for power. That is probably how this feature was turned on originally (you pressed lower left instead of lower right in an attempt to power off the radio).

Press the button briefly and watch as the "atomic" symbol is removed from the screen of the radio. When that symbol is not there, the feature is off.
