Oops.....

It hasn't happened in a long time...and it had to pick the VX-8 to happen on!!!

There are some CDs that were shipped on May 8th or 9th that have the wrong serial number on them. These are easily identified two ways...

1) The lot number on the face of the CD does not match the second 4 characters of the serial number provided.

2) The serial number returns as invalid...although you know good and well that you tyled it correctly.

The correct serial number is

YV40 ZKWY HWEJ F100 014B 0 = zero in all cases Do not enter spaces.

This will get you going.

Matt's Gravatar I received the VX8 programming package this afternoon.
The software installed without any problems. Downloading was easy to start, and remarkably fast.
Thank you for your attention to detail....

Roy Westra's Gravatar Just a quick note for your tech support, I had problems installing the software for my Yaesu VX8R, I was given the wrong code to install. I phoned at the end of the day and was told to leave a message, expecting not to hear for a couple of days, I was very suprised to ge a phone call about fifteen minuets later with help for the problem. About an hour later I recievd an email with the same information, I think that customer service like that should not go unreconized.

I waited a long time for this software and cable to come out reading the blogs with great anticaption and I am not dissapointed, award winning stuff, extreemly well thought out and easy to use. Please give the team that put it together an 'attaboy ' for me and also for the tech support that helped me.

Steve Fletcher's Gravatar I bought this at the Dayton Hamvention and just installed with no problems at all.

Downloaded a spreadsheet of all UK 6m/2m/70cm repeaters and simplex channels (from RSGB site). Spent 10 minutes editing the 400 memories into logical databanks (for different geographical areas) and uploaded to VX-8R.

Works perfectly and is very handy to be able to see everything displayed in a single 'spreadsheet' style grid.
